Hero's Journey
Role Playing Game, © KesieV 2015
During my 8-bit era, I've been a SEGA fan: I had both the SEGA Master System and its portable version, the Game Gear. JRPGs were lacking but that wasn't a problem at all: I hated the genre and the most complex RPG I liked to play was Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap (1989), which pratically isn't an RPG at all!
Probably someone will kill me now but I remember me at 18, alone in my living room playing Final Fantasy VII (1997) on the original Sony Playstation getting extremely bored. When I started thinking that my story with turn based JRPGs was closed, I played Final Fantasy XIII (2010). It wasn't better than the other JRPGs but, unlikely the other times, I had someone to talk about: my girlfriend Bianca.
From that, I started playing good RPGs, discovering masterpieces like Chrono Trigger (1995). Are RPGs effective when you've someone for sharing your thoughts? Time to try menus, turn handling and improve game saves with Wright!
Plot!
You wake up in a mysterious forest. Go playing the game, dammit! Use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT for moving your hero. Press A BUTTON to interact with things and people and the B BUTTON for the party setup menu. In menus use UP/DOWN for selecting options, the A BUTTON for confirming and the B BUTTON for cancel. During battles use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT for selecting an enemy on the battlefield.
