Starcat
Platformer, © KesieV 2014
The Wright! engine was originally thought for single-screen platformers only, in order to being able to code quick demakes and talk about the original game with a short article. This game is the first prototype, built with an older version of the engine that was just few hundreds lines long.
During the engine development I kept updating the game JSON in order to keep it working: it has been very useful for finding code regressions and understanding when the game code was getting unreadable after adding or renaming programming statements.
Back to the game! Ahh. When platformers didn't scroll. Why don't start our trip to the past and play a textbook single-screen platformer, like Nuts è Milk (1983) or Manic Miner (1983)?
Plot!
All the stars of the sky have been scattered around every planet! Help Starcat in its perilous mission, move from planet to planet and collect all the spinning stars! Move with the LEFT/RIGHT keys, jump with the UP key.
