Summer is when you can do everything you want, when you want supported by mostly pretty weather. Thus said, nothing is easier than having a good summer but, instead, that's the most crucial crossroad of your life.

I'll try explaining with an example. I've fond memories of my summers when I was around 10,and I call that 'My Mother Summer'. She had (and actually have) a very strict mantra about summer vacations, mostly because she misses Sicily very much, that's the place where she was born, lived her youth and where most of my parents live. I'm leaving her list here for future generations: waking up, going to the seaside for the whole day, going home, sleeping, repeat forever.

Due to my young age, her rules were my rules - I just added few customizations where allowed: I used to make and play with a cardboard computer from an empty biscuits box and playing with it just after 'waking up', a massive 'going to the local arcade' in the middle of the 'going to the seaside' part and a quick session of cartoons just before going to sleep.

When I was around 18 years old and started going to Sicily by myself, I started following another schedule... well, the schedule of the Good Young Boys in Sicily: waking up at 11am, having something I've never understood if it's breakfast or lunch, going to the seaside, going back home, sleeping, waking up at 7pm, going out, having something I've never understood if it's lunch or dinner, mandatory beer plus random event (ranging from going back to the seaside, go dancing, playing videogames), going back home, sleeping, repeat forever.

Now I'm way older than that and here comes the crucial crossroad I was talking about: which new schedule I've to follow? What I truly enjoy to do in my life? What relaxes me for real, regardless these schedules? The answer is a brand new schedule, which really describes who you are. That's when you've to be sincere and your knowledge about yourself is heavily tested. Since I've started living away from my parents and with Bianca, the schedule is ever changing but the preferred sequence is: waking up, coding while Bianca is still sleeping, breakfast, a long session of cartoons, TV series or board game design, lunch, another long chunk of gaming, dinner, mandatory beer with a random event (ranging from going out with friends, a movie, playing more videogames), repeat forever.

Most of the people we know told us that this 'summer' is pretty boring and isn't 'true summer' but... pssh. I've a secret to tell you: summer is what you are. And we have plenty of fun with our own schedule!

Plot!

Summer is war for General, a skinny geek with a passion for videogames. A war you've to fight with courage, strategy and water guns. Will the General become a war hero? Use UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT for moving the cursor: when moved over a unit, a status bar shows its team (blue or red), class (Nerd, Girl or Macho), health (HP) and the equipped weapon.

While the unit class decides how effective attacks between units are (Nerd is effective against Girl but weak with Macho, Girl is effective against Macho but weak with Nerd, Macho is effective against Nerd but weak with Girl), the weapon decides how long that unit can walk and how far it can attack. The status bar also displays the selected ground stats: the name, how it can defend a unit placed over it (DEF) and how many steps are needed for crossing it (STP).

Every turn you have to give orders to all of your blue units: select them with the A BUTTON to see where it can move (blue areas) and where it can strike (red areas). Select a non-blue area for cancelling your selection or a blue one moving the selected unit there. Then select an enemy unit under the red areas for striking an attack or everywhere else for deciding not to attack. After this movement and attack phases are ended, the selected unit becomes gray and can't be moved again during the current turn.

You can preview an enemy unit movement selecting a red unit or decide to keep all your remaining units still and end your turn selecting an area without any unit and pressing the A BUTTON again. In every moment, you can use the B BUTTON for cancelling your current action. Sometime you've to eliminate a particular red unit or all red units to win: remember that your targets have a purple weapon icon on the lower left corner! Good luck!
