Despite most of the pages of the Wright! Magazine depicts me as a frustrated sports-hater, I always had a catch for racing games, from the great Pitstop II (1984) to the top-down racers of the 90's and the modern arcade racers, like Ridge Racer and its fourth excellent chapter (1998).

So why not including a classic to my collection, test how I can check laps and car position on a circuit using Wright! and bring tons of nostalgia?

Plot!

You're the legendary driver of the Aquamarine car, challenging the Red Team for the first place on the World Racing Championship! Use LEFT/RIGHT for steering left or right and A BUTTON for accelerating. And I don't like racing as a real sport. Obviously.

PS: 3 years later I've added the annoying sound effects this game deserved. Working again on this game has been quite fun: I've made the engine noise by looping some generated samples - in Wright! for the first time - and the drifting, offroad and bump noises needed that bit of code I decided to skip in the previous version. Oh, I've added a retro drifting visual effect in the process.
